The campaign

You can’t kill your way to victory.

Insurgents grow out of grievance. A raid on bad intel creates more enemies than it kills. Every decision is a trade-off between force, legitimacy and the patience of the people back home.

The real map

Every district, valley, pass and river, built from open geographic data. Mountains slow your trucks; the Salang closes with snow.

Fog of war

You only know what your drones, satellites and informants tell you. Intel decides whether a raid succeeds or ends in tragedy.

Logistics you can see

Truck convoys roll in from Torkham, Chaman and Hairatan. Uncleared roads are IED alleys. Escort them, clear them, or airlift.

Bases and outposts

Build FOBs, checkpoints and surveillance aerostats. Hold ground and secure roads, but isolated outposts can be overrun.

Missions

High-value targets surface and hostages are taken. Dispatch a force by helicopter or MRAP, then take command on the ground.

The radio net

Clear radio traffic from your units and HQ: contact reports, convoy updates, intel warnings and the commander’s daily brief.

Two ways to win

Choose your war.

Win the Peace

Hold free elections with real turnout and legitimacy, then keep the country stable for a year with no uprisings. The campaign as it should have been fought.

Total Control

Bring every one of the 398 districts under government control at once. Every valley. Every border pass. No exceptions.

Allied forces

Call in the coalition.

Add elite allied units that served in Afghanistan: Delta Force, Navy SEALs, 75th Rangers, SAS, SBS, Royal Marines, Gurkhas, SASR, NZSAS, JTF2, GROM, KSK and more. Allied special forces lead your tactical battles as elite squads.
